Hat Trick

I wrote three shorts last week, though only one was any good and one was flash. But still, it goes to show how much I can get done if I really try.

Could I write three shorts a week for a year? If I was unemployed, definitely. Otherwise.. I think I’d rather not try. I have a feeling the quality of most of them would be so low that I might as well have not written anything. But, sometimes gold nuggets fall out with the .. other nuggets. So there is something to be said for just forcing out constant words.

I think I prefer to think and mull over ideas until one jumps out and grabs me and makes me write it, instead of just spewing out words all the time and hoping that some of it sticks together into something coherent.

Or maybe I’m just making excuses for not writing as much as I could.
