This week my prompt was Sheer Heart-attack by Queen, I took the line ‘turn on the TV let it drip down in your eyes’ as inspiration. The story ended up being about a society obsessed with VR, and one man who’s DNA made him incompatible, and unable to join in the virtual world.
It turned out very rushed and I don’t know if any of it is even salvageable, but I wrote something! Next week’s story will hopefully be more focused.
Also I’ve been listening to pretty much nothing but Lady Gaga’s new album this week, so maybe that is partially to blame for my lack of sci-fi inspiration. Back to Ayreon’s new album for me!
