i got yanked out of 13 billion years of oblivion for THIS?

life is a strange and rare and beautiful thing for those of us who get to experience it. unfortunately most of us live as slaves so a few dozen people can live like kings.

i am so excited to spend my one precious life working 40 hours a week so that i’ll be allowed to have shelter and food –just enough to get by, though! anything extra would be unfair– and with my free time have i zero energy or finances left to do anything but watch other people live life on tv. i am so very excited to do this for 60 or 80 years until i literally die at work because there is no such thing as retirement anymore and social security will be bankrupted before i ever get to use it.

i like to think about what all these hours spent not enjoying my rare and limited existence are earning for my master boss as he sits there comfortably and restfully at the top of the giant pyramid scheme that life has been turned into. have you been convinced, as i was and as so many are, that you should be proud to be working for someone else’s profit instead of doing such lazy and non-productive things like writing or drawing or sleeping or looking at trees or standing in a river or hiking a mountain trail or visiting a new city or eating something interesting or learning a new language or reading a book or any of a million other interests and desires one must cram into these very very limited moments of existing, the majority of which are spent propping up our bloated kings.

you have been convinced that working hard will get you to the top. this is the greatest lie ever told. what gets you to the top is luck, cunning, or connections. it has nothing to do with hard work, or work at all. why would a slaver free his hardest working slave? it is in the interest of those at the top to do their best to prevent anyone else from joining them, but especially to prevent the hardest workers from ceasing their work.

working hard only gets you more work.

it is in your own personal interest to work as little as possible. it is also in the interest of the people that you should sabotage your employer. do as little as possible, cost them as much money as possible. it is for the benefit of all that you should use every opportunity to slow the growth of these cancer cells on the body of humanity.

of course if you are self employed or you work for a small business, things may be different, but most of us don’t. Most of us work for google or walmart or mcdonalds or kroger or amazon or home depot or pepsi or starbucks or one of several dozen other companies that are actively and intentionally destroying nature and rebuilding society to be the most difficult and joyless for as many people as possible. they are enemies of humanity and of all life on earth, and you should not feel guilty for anything you can do to steal from or sabotage them.

that, in fact, is the real work you should be proud of.
