I always found ants interesting and enjoyed watching them and thinking about them… until they started exploring my house. Then i was squashing every one I spotted.
How often do our opinions change based on how things affect us personally? Probably constantly. I still think ants are amazing of course, but I did not hesitate to kill them and launch a 409 chemical attack on all their paths, and now can empathize with someone who hates and kills all insects instantly on sight.
Anyway, ants are rad… when they’re outside.
